Two Hemispheres, One Goal
Welcome to the ADHD Peri Punks Podcast
Time zones?
A 14.5-hour difference. We are a literal world apart, but the goal is the same.
Life delays?
A whole damn year.
Excuses? None.
We are Chrissy and Sarah, a pair of Gen-X, 40-plus, late-diagnosed neurodivergent women who met online and live on opposite sides of the planet in opposite hemispheres, but didn’t let that stop us from impulsively birthing a podcast to support others through the insane whirlwind of the compounded symptoms of being both peri, menopausal and neurodivergent. We were ambushed by all of it, and we don’t want anyone to ever have to go through what we did without support.
But, before we started to bring guests on the pod, we figured we should properly introduce ourselves—to each other and to you first. Because while ADHD PERI PUNKS was supposed to launch over a year ago, life had other plans.
Sarah’s dad passed away. Chrissy moved over 1,000 km away from the the Gold Coast of Australia to the very remote Outback. And while both of us were late-diagnosed ADHDers when we began to plan the podcast, we both received subsequent diagnoses — OCD and Dyslexia for Sarah and Autism for Chrissy — that left us with even more questions and challenges.
And honestly? We’re glad. That extra time let us really get to know each other, and it’s only made this space stronger.

This podcast isn’t just another polished, neatly packaged take on neurodivergence and midlife—fuck that.
We’re here for the real, messy, unfiltered conversations. And Season 1 is 14 episodes of us interviewing each other, getting our bearings, and discussing topics from misdiagnosis, medical gaslighting, and HRT to sensory issues, burnout, and finding ourselves and our people in midlife.
This is a space for the shit they don’t tell you about peri/menopause.
For the neurodivergent women who’ve spent their lives masking, only to hit midlife and realize everything is unraveling. For the ones who feel like they’re losing their minds but know they’re not alone.
Friendships like this—like ours—don’t just happen. They’re built, unraveled, rebuilt, and strengthened. That’s what we’re doing here.
We aim to tear the roof off the stigma that surrounds being neurodivergent women.
Being late-diagnosed ADHD/OCD/Dyslexic and AuDHD women, we have felt and continue to feel the impact of this while navigating the PERI/MENOpausal era, and we believe it should be discussed loudly.
We share raw, hilarious, and riotous personal stories, to help open up the conversations not just for the women facing this, but their families, lovers, partners, and workplaces. We believe in reclaiming the rant, and not because we’re “crazy bitches” as society has deemed us for millennia, but because shit needs to be said.
This community and podcast is all about creating a space where women like us (and the ones coming up behind us) can feel seen, heard, and empowered to live their badassery, but also a place where men feel safe and included. We need them educated and supporting us.
That said, this podcast is for everyone. You don't have to be female, ND, or peri/meno to be a guest, listen and support, but it does pay to be punk because it's precisely the punk ethos of questioning everything and going against the grain that is going to help the 'decades-behind' research on women's mental and physical health progress!
We’re fired up about community and the power that it brings when we come together in solidarity. There’s strength in numbers when it comes to raising awareness and helping support each other through this wild ride of an era.
We’re working hard to build a brigade of peri punks, along with allies, friends, family members or loved ones of this colorful crew we’re gathering, who’re looking to learn and grow alongside us.
